Printing tiled pages

I am working on a document sized 11x17" and only have an 8.5 x 11 printer. I would like to see the work in progress printed at actual size, though. Some programs have a feature to "tile print" so you print at actual size tiled across multiple pages, and then align the pages on a table or tape them to see the larger page all together. The program I'm working with, (Sibelius music notation program) though doesn't do that. I had thought Preview had a way to tile print, but I don't think it does. Does anyone have solutions for this? Mac OS 10.12.6. Thanks!

The free approach is to install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC v2019 (or later), and open your 11x17 PDF in it. Then you can follow the instructions for using Reader's poster capability that will generate 4 x 8.5x11 unscaled pages with cut marks, and you trim those four pages to piece together a complete 11x17 from a Letter printer. I just tested those instructions here on a single-page, 11x17 artwork.

You may also find non-free applications in the Mac App Store, but they expect images, have a bunch of optional cost expenditures, or have low ratings (e.g. Split Print).

How can I print varying number of multiple pages per sheet on Mac?. Standard option does not suit Hi, I've got a bunch of pdfs containing text. Each page is of the same width, but each page is of a different height. Some pages only contain a few lines of text, other pages contain a lot of text. I want to print this pdf on a Mac so that each sheet I print on is filled nicely with text. The problem is that the standard 'print multiple pages per sheet' option does not suit, as some pages of the pdf could fill their own page, whereas others are so narrow that 3 or 4 of them could be combined on one sheet. Anyone know of a simple software / workaround that solves my problem? Thanks so much!!

Apple Pages printing query Using the Pages app for Macintosh. Made a layout size to by 17"x22". Placed a single graphic inside these dimensions (a hexagon) Would like the print out on 4 x 8.5"x11". Which could be tiled and taped together. Doesn't work. Not even a single sheet will print. Thank you, Peter

Pages I have the pages application. Every time i print it in horizontal but it prints the a vertical configuration. I changed the Page Orientation but it still prints vertically. I also noticed that my Printer & paper size section only shows US letter & others but on another mac there are various different choices of paper size to choose from. I want to print my documents in A4 horizontally but it doesn't turn up right.
